“Research Training Program in cooperation between National O. O. Bohomolets Medical University , Kiev ,
and Karolinska Institutet , Stockholm ”

In order to develop cooperation between Karolinska Institutet, Stockholm , Sweden , and National O. O. Bohomolets Medical University (NMU), Kiev , Ukraine , a Research Training Program (RTP) according to sandwich model with the goal of Doctor of Medical Science at KI and Candidate of Medical Science at NMU, respectively, is planned according to below. The goal is not only to give some selected students research training but to further develop cooperation between supervisors and departments, as well as other academic cooperation and interactions between our universities.

General aspects
- The program should result in the Doctor of Medical Science (Ph.D.) degree at Karolinska Institutet (KI). The scientific work and research training courses may also be the basis for the Candidate of Medical Science degree at National O. O. Bohomolets Medical University (NMU).

- The sandwich model will be used for the RTP. The student will have at least one supervisor from KI and one supervisor from NMU, and half of the scientific work should be carried out at KI and half at NMU.

- The number of students to RTP will be up to seven (7) students.

- The student has to have an active connection with NMU

- Economical support for living expenses (at present SEK 14 900/month during 6 months in Sweden and USD 150/month during 6 months in Ukraine ), travel (two Apex flights a SEK 3 500/year for the student, and one Apex flight a SEK 3 500 + three hotel nights a SEK 1 200 + transport costs to the airport for one supervisor from each side per year), and for project costs (SEK 50 000/year, or according to available funding) is planned.

- Economical support for the selection procedure has been provided by Swedish Institute ( Visby Program).

- Economical support for 4 years of training for Doctor of Medical Science at KI is expected from the Visby Program. However, the possibility to support the RTP is dependent on the final outcome of the yearly applications.

- The research training is coordinated by Karolinska International Research Training Committee (KIRT).

Entrance qualifications
- Six years of medical, dental or pharmaceutical curriculum.
- Good knowledge in English exceeding 550 points in the Toefl test.
- Established contact with the NMU.

Acceptance of students
- From the applications a first selection of students for interview will be made independently at KI and NMU. Interviews will be performed at NMU by a selection committee with representatives from KI and NMU. From the outcome of the interviews students will be selected for language test, followed by recruitment of supervisors and defining of research training projects.

After supervisors have been recruited at both universities and the project has been defined, the final decision to accept the student will be taken.

Start of studies : September-October 2007  

Application: A signed application form has to have reached NMU January 12, 2007.

ЛЕГАЛІЗАЦІЯ ДОКУМЕНТІВ ПРО ОСВІТУ

Відділом міжнародних зв’язків НМУ оформляються документи про освіту випускникам Національного медичного університету імені О.О.Богомольця, необхідні для легалізації за кордоном.

Університет готує наступні документи про освіту:

– Додаток до диплому українською та англійською мовами з переліком годин і оцінок по кожній дисципліні та виробничій практиці ;

– Довідка, що підтверджує навчання та видачу диплому, в якій зазначені роки вступу та закінчення ВУЗу, отримана спеціальність та серія і номер диплому;

– Довідка, що підтверджує навчання в інтернатурі та видача сертифікату спеціаліста, в якій вказані роки навчання в інтернатурі, термін очної частини навчання на відповідній кафедрі НМУ, номер наказу про присвоєння звання лікаря – спеціаліста, номер сертифікату та назва отриманої спеціальності;

– Відповіді на запити, що надходять з країн, де навчаються чи працюють випускники НМУ. Відповіді оформлюються лише при особистому звертанні випускника НМУ чи його довіреної особи.

ПРАВИЛА ЗАМОВЛЕННЯ ТА ОТРИМАННЯ ДОКУМЕНТІВ

• Випускник НМУ або його довірена особа повинні особисто звернутися з письмовою заявою до проректора з навчальної роботи, професора Яворовського О.П. (прийом відвідувачів – щовівторка з 15 до 18 години)*.
• Термін оформлення документів становить 1 місяць.
• Послуги платні.

Оплата робіт з легалізації документів:

• для громадян України становить 180 гривень,
• для іноземних громадян – 150 доларів США (по курсу НБУ на момент оплати).

Оплата перекладацьких послуг становить:

• для громадян України – 90 гривень,
• для іноземних громадян – 50 доларів США (по курсу НБУ на момент оплати).

Документи про освіту видаються особисто випускнику НМУ або його довіреної особи.

У разі видачі документів про освіту довіреній особі, остання повинна мати при собі наступні документи:

– Доручення, оформлене випускником на довірену особу, завірену нотаріально, в якій вказано, що довірена особа має право отримувати документи, які стосуються навчання даного випускника НМУ;

– Паспорт громадянина України довіреної особи;

– Паспорт громадянина України випускника (якщо є).
